While the release of PowerPoint 2013 has been met with often-tepid reviews from power users, one feature that has been getting positive feedback is an improved ability to share PowerPoint decks online, both on social sites and for collaborative work purposes. Slide decks can now more easily be built and saved to SkyDrive, for example. In addition, Microsoft’s new Web Viewer makes it easier to share PowerPoint with teammates or colleagues.
Geetesh Bajaj, a PowerPoint MVP and regular contributor to PresentationXpert newsletter who runs Indezine, www.indezine.com, has written two useful how-to articles on the topic. The first, linked below, demonstrates how to use SkyDrive to share PowerPoint presentations on social sites like Facebook or Twitter:

The second article explains how to use the new Microsoft Office Web Viewer. The tool is helpful if you want to share PowerPoint decks with others but don’t know if they have certain PPT versions on their computers, whether recipients may be using devices like iPads that can’t view PowerPoint with complete fidelty or if people may want to view but not download PowerPoint files.
